The Rhythm of Gospel Music Awards is an annual, nationally recognized event honoring excellence in gospel music, ministry, and community leadership. The awards celebrate independent artists, churches, choirs, pastors, and leaders whose work uplifts communities and advances faith through music and service.
Designed as both a celebration and an experience, the Rhythm of Gospel Music Awards brings together artists, ministries, and supporters for a powerful gathering rooted in faith, fellowship, and recognition. Each year, thousands of attendees from the U.S., Canada, the Bahamas, and beyond come together to honor gospel’s impact across generations.
The Rhythm of Gospel Music Awards is produced by Executive Director Dr. Mark Rogers, whose leadership continues to elevate the awards experience through excellence, transparency, and a commitment to honoring gospel music at the highest level.

Process with Purpose
Our Selection Process
1. Submission & Screening
Eligibility Check
Entries are submitted and reviewed to confirm eligibility and ensure each recording or video is placed in the correct category.
2. Nominating Round
First Ballot
N.I.G.M.A. voting members review eligible entries and nominate finalists in each category based on their areas of expertise.
3. Nominee Acceptance
Confirmation Required
Nominees must formally accept their nomination by the stated deadline before names are released publicly and moved forward.
4. Internet Voting
Fan Influence
Fans vote online for their favorite independent artists, contributing one-quarter of the overall selection toward final results.
5. Final Voting
Member Decision
Final ballots are issued to voting members, who evaluate verified submissions and cast votes within their professional fields.
6. Winners Revealed
Sealed Results
Results remain confidential until the awards ceremony, where winners are announced live during the Rhythm of Gospel Music Awards.
